This took an hour... ...the road was (un)bounded by steep drop-offs We were happy later (and dressed up) Madeleine Bed & Breakfast in Santa Fe Turn of the last century fireplace & stained glass One day it hailed ferociously for half an hour; next day the hail was still lying around A kiva in an old pueblo where the Spanish "converted" the Indians and made them build a church In Carrizozo - swallows' babies We drove up the mountain to Cloudcroft NM After dining well and facing down a bear, we descended next day through a gentle canyon On the drive home from Cloudcroft, we stopped at Carlsbad Desert Zoo Elk at the Carlsbad Desert Zoo...and then we drove home.
